Road Trippers Part Dos

After we left Kentucky, our drive through Arkansas was unbelievably windy and this picture was taken at the Arkansas greeting center, where the bathroom counter-tops are MARBLE.  What you can't see is all the wind that's blowing those clouds around like motherbleepers, because wind is invisible.  Reality check!

Once we got out of Arkansas, Oklahoma and Texas, we landed our booties in Tucumcari, New Mexico and boy were we glad to land at the Blue Swallow Motel.  We consumed enormous, blue, tequila-laced beverages that evening that were named for the establishment pictured below.  It was great to be back in the west.

The next day we drove through all of NM and AZ, finally landing in Needles, CA where we stayed in yet another fabulous motel.  This one had a hot tub and heated pool, which we enjoyed thoroughly.  The next morning we filled that Toyota Camry up with yet another tank of gas and hit the road for the final leg of our trip, during which we listened to Hunter S. Thompson's Hell's Angels, a geographically appropriate, albeit terrifying tale.
