Life Update

Well a lot has happened since my last post.  I quit my job.  That's right, for the meantime I am no longer the Goat Gal you all knew me as.  I'm a little relieved because hopefully this means people will stop greeting me with "how are the goats?", a question I never know how to answer ("fine?  they're goats?").

So I'm saying goodbye to Oregon for now and Hello Bay Area, returning to my roots to spend time with my close friends and family this summer, take some vacations and be (temporarily) funemployed.  I'm also playing with questions of "what's next?".  What else is out there?  I know I liked farming, I got a good idea of what it entails (although I've barely scratched the surface) between being the Plucky Peasant and being a Goat Gal.

Is farming something I would consider returning to?  Yes.  Would the circumstances have to be slightly different than they currently are?  Yes.  Until then, here are some things I would like to do this summer:

get back into art/photography/pick up where I left off
make stuff for people, make useful stuff
go kayaking with Rae, spend time in the Redwoods
go backpacking in the Sierra with Maya June
visit Camp Tawonga/go to the hot springs at Mammoth/Kibbie Lake backpacking trip
bike to farmers markets and eat tons of fresh fruits and veggies, cook with them
make fresh pasta, ravioli
make kombucha
get rid of lots of stuff, have a wardrobe that roxxx
keep up with everyone back in Oregon
go to breakfast with The Dogs (my parents friends)
hang out with Anya and Sophia in Bolinas
pick peaches in Brentwood
Road trip to LA
Spend time in Sonoma
lots of baseball games
take Roscoe everywhere (Chrissy Fields, Albany Bulb, Point Reyes)
build a raised bed in my parents side yard
ride my bike to the pool, eat melon
hike a lot, swim a lot, bike a lot
do yoga
have a tidy room
have a happy dog
make new friends
meet a nice manboy
get a job I like

I will continue to blog from time to time as I have been, albeit under a new name. Hopefully I will be posting more photographs. I'd like to get back into shooting film in a seriously artful way. Maybe it will suck, who knows. Anyhow, I'll keep y'all posted. Until next time--
