Milk and Fish

Oh god, my last post was so soaringly idealistic, time for a dose of realism.  Today I have consumed 3 and a half homemade banana nut muffins.  I worked and fished this morning and while I had a whole gang of plans for the afternoon, apparently all I want to do is eat muffins and loaf around the house.  On the upside some of my seeds germinated.  And my place is very clean.

Yesterday I went to the farmers market and sold cheese with Larry.  We were at the people's co-op market which was slow and freezing cold but there was a very strong sense of community there and I met a lot of nice people plus some friends visited me which always cheers me up.  It's fun being a working person out in the world.

The Girls were very good this morning and milking was a breeze.  I turned the radio on and jammed out to the Christian Rock station, only realizing much later that they were singing about "yah-weh"... yikes!  After milking was up, the sun was out and I went down to the river with my fishing pole (and a muffin) and spent a couple of hours casting my line into the water, with no results.

Finally my tackle got stuck on the bottom of the river and I could not get that shit unstuck so I cut my line and called it a day.  Fun time though, between all the milking (I do have to do some hand-milking after all) and the fishing, my hands are feeling strong.
