A Goat Walk

Tonight Heather and I went for a "goat walk" before milking time.  Milking time has become a staple of my life here in Farmland.  Drivin' down the road a couple nights and mornings a week to milk at a nearby family farm is one of the most enjoyable things I do.

We picked some delightful blackberries (and black raspberries) and enjoyed the warm atmosphere. When the clock struck 8 it was time to get a'milking.  It's important to keep to a regular schedule, especially if you are interested in getting the most milk possible.  Allegra and Pretty (this goat has a million other names--and is not particularly pretty) were mostly well behaved on the milking stand tonight, and between the two of 'em we got a gallon.  Not bad.
